Dominican Republic – Additional clearance information

24th March 2011 – Dominican Customs have implemented a new system processing, which requires that shipments to a commercial establishment have the RNC (tax ID) and that this number be registered under the same NAME in the Dominican Internal Revenue registry.

Also shipments to a private individual must have the consignee's national ID (Cedula) number in the commercial invoice.

Non compliance with these requests will result in significant delays.

Update : UPS service to Japan

24th March 2011 – Due to extensive damage to the transportation infrastructure, UPS has temporarily suspended its services to and from northern Japan. UPS will not be making any pickups or deliveries in these areas.
